Research overview

I am generally interested in fluid dynamics and rotating stratified dynamics, motivated by geophysical and astrophysical systems (mostly focusing on the ocean). I employ a variety of computational and mathematical methods to tackle associated problems. Areas I have worked on and/or are particularly interested in are:

Numerical models play a very large role in my research though I am relatively agnostic about which models to use (the science normally suggests one over the other). I go from bespoke small-scale models (largely in MATLAB and Python) to global circulation models (NEMO and MITgcm).
